Moraga is the smallest of the 3 towns that comprise Lamorinda. Moraga is a little quieter and more rural since it is off the freeway and the BART line. Homes tend to be more affordable than Lafayette and Orinda but still offer the California Distinguished Schools and are commutable to San Francisco, Oakland, and Walnut Creek. Moraga is home to St. Mary’s College which was tied for 9th in the U.S. News & World Report’s ‘Regional Universities’ (West) rankings for 2017.
Campolindo high school houses the Soda Aquatic Center with an Olympic sized competition pool, considered to be one of the fastest pools in the country with alumni that have gone on to the Olympics, including 11-time Olympic medalist Matt Biondi. Dedicated athletes train year-round at this facility. Campolindo is also home to a strong football team, winning 2 state titles in the past 3 years. While Campolindo has excelled in athletics, it has never lost sight of its strong academic heritage and continues to rank in the top schools in the Nation which has been a great source of pride for teachers, parents, and students in this well supported community.
Moraga also has the prestigious Moraga Country Club which is a combined Country Club and Homeowners’ Association that includes a beautiful 18-hole golf course, tennis facilities, pool and swim team, and recently renovated clubhouse.
